Lambertson Truex - True Blue to Tiffany?

Lambertson Truex has always been one of the more overlooked luxury brands out there. Their signature sky blue interior has always been an eye-catching feature.

Lambertson’s online shopping site was shut down, but has just reopened for business. No mention on the site of the company’s purchase by Tiffany. Tiffany & Co. now wants to get into the leather goods and bags business — a little late in the game, considering the state of the economy. Now that they’ve reabsorbed Iridesse, their pearl jewelry business, perhaps they are game for a new market.

Actually, I have high hopes for this partnership. LT bags are known in fashion circles, but not in the broader world — perhaps because they don’t believe in plastering their logo in any visible place on their bags. WIth the Tiffany name behind it, they will probably get pushed to prominence.

LT bags have also been considered a “safe” choice — the clutch above might be their wildest option. Their silhouettes are always truly classic, and never gauche. Much like any piece you would find at Tiffany.

They are expensive, but I found that you can rent one at Bag Borrow or Steal.
