Yves Saint Laurent has really designed some iconic bags this season. The Majorelle in Sahara is an exceptional standout, in gold crackled leather. I love this.

The lines in the design are evocative of the strong geometry of the sixties.

The dimensions in this particular bag are quite petite, at H 6″, L 9″, and W 5″. It is on the YSL site for $1895.00.

For those of you who aren’t aware of the contributions that YSL has made to the long legacy of fashion, here’s a newsflash: the design house has created and popularized the women’s tuxedo, the trench coat, the Safari jacket, and the pantsuit. YSL is a label that is accustomed to lasting design.
