Chanel’s Paris-Londres 2008-2009 line has some interesting bags. This bag uses the designer’s signature elements: black calfskin quilting, red lining, and the signature CC’s on the zipper, and twists it with the patent finish and asymmetrical shape for extra edge. Check it out at Chanel’s site.
This design is pretty slick, and the line itself has some pretty fantastic designs. More coverage to come.
It’s interesting that Chanel doesn’t have an area where you can purchase their bags online — it feels a bit like walking back into time in their boutiques, as it’s never clear what the availability of any particular item is. It’s anachronistic, yet charming in its own way — quite different from the Louis Vuitton experience of eLuxury and the boutiques that run like well-oiled machines.
