Founder: Diego Della Valle. Known for luxury, comfort and elegance, Tod’s designs began with shoes in the 1920’s and come from Italy’s Le Marche Region, where the majority of the family is still based today. Tod’s products are all about refined and simplistic beauty.

Current Designer: Derek Lam. In 2006, Derek became chief creative director of Tod’s and launched the Ready to Wear collection, Capsule. Although the company has now ventured into clothing items, the focus remains on shoes and handbags.

Company Control/exclusivity: The majority of Tod’s shareholdings belong to the Della Valle family. Tod’s products are often handcrafted to ensure quality that is hard to replicate.
