Dior has always been known for their classic femininity, sometimes mixed with a dash of hardness for flair. There is a beautiful new bag on the block, and her name is Jeanne. This design has a timeless appeal to it, with soft, ladylike curves with subtly edgy gold hardware to balance it. Though I am usually a fan of monochromatic leather and hardware, I can still admire the aged warmth of the gold against the mysterious black.

There is also a juxtaposition of the shiny calf with the matte suede, all combining to a look of luxe.

The top is open, which detracts points from this bag, but the overall look is so elegant that I’m willing to overlook this flaw — one could have a smaller, unobtrusive black pouch inside of it, though it is admittedly a little silly to have a bag within a bag.

It is a healthy size — at 13.5″ wide and 9.5″ high, it can fit quite a bit. Just don’t tip it over, or it’s all over for the privacy and safety of your bag’s contents.

The designers at Dior were thoughtful enough to put a suede handle at the top of the chain, perhaps in an effort to save your fingers, shoulders, and hair. Also, the chains stay together this way! $1450 at eLuxury.
