Fun, Kicky Wedge by Pucci

I love these shoes by Pucci. Living in Boston, I was bound to be influenced by the preppy intellectual style of New England with plaids, argyle, tweeds, and gold-buttoned blazers. I used to see that as a view not to be absorbed by.

However, every style has it’s positive aspects, and when blended with another influence, the result can be downright wonderful.

This pattern on this shoe looks like it could be the inspiration for a J Crew catalog, with the geometrically clean Art Deco lines. Plus, as a nod to the current trend of high shine, the black and pink are cast in a patent leather, which is very Now. Thinking about the shades used, the color combination is unusual — feminine pink and white with the neutral black and brown make a fresh combination that’s not sickeningly sweet. And, the wedge makes it a fun, polished shoe for weekend get-togethers. Definitely a favorite! Now, if the pink were replaced with lavender, aqua, slate blue, or grey, it would be mine! But, as I don’t have a lot of this shade of pink, I’ll happily admire rather than buy.

If you thought that Pucci was known exclusively for it’s psychedelic, geometric prints, this shoe should show you their other capabilities!
